In fact, there was live music each evening in several restaurants and of course the theater. Great entertainment, every night, good drinks no matter which bar you went to our favorite activity was having a drink in the Don Miguel before or after dinner, listening to the piano player. If you can't find something to eat at this resort, you are too picky! The same goes for keeping busy, while we chose to do nothing but sit by the pool or walk the grounds, there are many options for activities (sports and/or food or lessons) so you would never be bored. Breakfast/brunch was more than one could ask for, great variety and freshness. We went to the Italian twice, the French was very good, loved the Mexican and had a few buffets in the theater are for theme nights. The steak wasn't up to my husband's expectations but very tasty and filling. Food was excellent, depending on your expectations. I am not sure how they keep it so clean, we rarely saw workers during the day. It was great to walk around and see all the landscaping after dinner, lovely music playing through the 'rock' speakers. The room was spacious and great location (Building 6), and the grounds were very clean. We learned about 'Mexican time" and with everything else so wonderful it was a small complaint. Most of the reviews we read in advance were spot on.the only negative my husband found was not having the room cleaned the same time every morning. The resort was exactly as described on their website, though the pictures don't do it justice. We would definitely return for another vacation. Transportation to and from the airport to the hotel was a breeze. Maybe the hotel could increase the amount of time the band performs. Shows, a DJ, but I have to say when it comes to entertainment at night, The Imperial Band that plays at the hotel was a differenece maker, a definite first rate band, they made our nights listening and dancing to them extra special, thank you guys for such incredible performances. There was constant entertainment at night. All the wait staff were very friendly, especially in the morning, Marisol, Bety, Jeronimo you guys started our days with big smile and an extra friendly good morning, thank you for that. Drinks were alittle different from bartender to bartender and from bar to bar, but if you didn't like the drink, no problem they would make you another one. There were some venders on the beach but they were not bothersome. The beach was very well maintained, plenty of chairs, wait staff on the beach as well. There was a lot of walking because the hotel is so spread out. The pool was like a small lake, it was incredible. The room and the entire hotel were very clean, beds very comfortable, the maintenance staff were constantly working to keep the entire hotel in tip top shape. The hotel was all that we were expecting, the food, excellent, although the wait during peak dinner hours, sometimes a little annoying, also the fact that the buffet was not open for dinner, we found that also to be a little annoying.
